So.... why is it exactly that you need avi releases?

People who’s computers are so horrible that they can't run the .mp4 episodes, and that Virtual Dub would refuse to work properly on them, and currently lacks the funds to get a new computer, Such as myself.
Of course there are always those people too lazy to bother with the encoding themselves.

I just thought I would mention that the avi encodes for 162-168 that K-F did may also be needed for some people, but there is no longer a torrent for them, and only one IRC bot has them (minus episode 162) and that particular bot will be going down soon.

What I would try if the .mp4 aren't working (which would be why you need the .avi) would be to download VLC player. Quite frankly, I couldn't watch the .mp4 episodes without it. Just a thought.

VLC player doesn't work properly with the mp4 encodes for me. Not everyone can watch them anyways; it requires a certain minimum of computing power that not everyone has.

Ok, first off, if Virtual Dub isnt working right, its probably user error. If its not, then theres 100's of other ways to reencode. Second, people are practically giving away Athlon XP's these days. Ask your computer junky friend if you can have his old mobo and proc. Its worth almost nothing. Perhaps Im being naive, but even as a poor college student, I still managed to scrape up enough money to buy a decent system. Is this 'lack of money' lazyness?

Yes PhareG, it's just lazyness, that MUST be it. -_-;
Not everyone has the money, knowledge, time, or inclination to either buy or build a new rig or re-encode the episodes on their own.
If you don't heve something nice to say, please do everyone a favor and don't post in this topic.
