I dug up the thread to ask if someone can tell me if they are able to understand Shinobu Kaitani's latest twitter post. Google translator makes it seem like Liar Game is returning this month, but I'm really keeping my faith low. This has been one of the shittiest hiatuses ever.

Long time no see, glad to see this thread was dug up as well. It does sound promising as TDX was talking about it in mangafox returning this month...although this month is nearly over. I truly hope this returns, it sounds like the mangaka has been busy making and continuing the story and just needs to be published.
P.S.

November 24, it will be released and released weekly. I know you are trying to not get your hopes up, but this is the first time an actual date has been mentions and I for one am really pumped up about it.

Chapter is out! I read it on batoto, dunno if it's somewhere else aswell. Felt good, 35 pages long. It seems Kaitani has gotten better at color pages.

Yup, it was good. I'm glad this is resuming. I doubt Yokoya's words. If he really thinks that he's in for a big surprise.

Geezus! What a quality chapter! Well worked to remind us what happened and a fresh twist thrown in for good measure.
Really loving the quality of each page, especially the colour pages.

Ahhhh! It was so nice to see chapter 139, I'm all smiles now. Nice long chapter to give his fans for a long wait, I hope we get to see both games progress instead of just showing how one side progresses and then just the results of the other side.

I don't think they'll show Yokoya's game. They'll just reveal by the end that he had a crushing victory, and in a probable scenario, Fukunaga(sp;) will be in need of Akiyama's help again^^. What I can see though, is Harimoto getting crushed for good this time. So we don't hear from him again. I like this manga but I think it would be better to introduce new characters instead of re-using the same people..

Double post bump wannabe.
Although I'm enjoying the latest chapters I think they leave a lot to be desired. I came to like Liar Game because of the psychological tricks, which I don't think we've seen in a long time. I don't consider directing attention wherever you want one of them. In my guess, Harimoto gave his tablet to shortbob, so all the betting so far has been commited by her. Getting everyone's attention on baldy and then on the tablet Harimoto was holding(obviously not his) was his plan. At least they didn't drag on with it and Akiyama acted fast.

My exact same thought. Give tablet to someone, then make the biggest scene possible. It's only forbidden to steal tablets, so if he lent it to someone working with him there should be no problem. Actually, I think there's a way to easily break this game. If they all agreed to trade tablets and bet for another person (say, Harimoto bets on Nao's tablet for her, Akiyama on Shortbob's, and so on) on the one condition that they have to bet on the lot assigned to each person. If people didn't honour that agreement, wouldn't it be stealing the tablet, as they were keeping the player from working with it? I guess the only impediment would be the LGT office, who would probably allow people to not honour that agreement and just say that they willingly traded tablets, and from then on it's all legal.

Turns out I was correct and although the surprise factor went down because they took 12 pages to explain something that was already obvious, Akiyama's comeback more than made up for it. Now I'm hooked again and can't wait to see how Harimoto will respond. Even though his helpers are loyal I doubt they're close to as witty as him or Akiyama, so they'll most likely be wiped without him present. But at the same time Akiyama has to make sure everyone gets a stack in order to ensure Nao's plan. This is getting interesting.

I also enjoyed the ending. Why the hell did they drag the chapter beats me. Maybe because he wanted to force the cliffanger. I hope the game loses predictablility in the next few chapters, because so far it's been pretty linear.
In another note, eat a dick generic bots that plague the forum.

i think the next chapter will kinda wrap up the game, the old dude deciding to play fairly for the moment rather than tip his hand before the real game. then, the end of that chapter will focus more on the other game, with yokoya completely dominating.

Akiyama bidding, like a boss! The reason Akiyama did this is because if he let Shortbob bid, Harimoto would have 2 lots, and even though he could have used that chance in order to get one extra lot for himself they would still be tied by the time his plan blew. So instead he chose to blow it in order to get 2lots for himself while not allowing Harimoto to get a single more. The question is how he will manage to ensure Nao's plan now. If I remember correctly you can't trade, and when you discard a lot it's up for grabs by everyone. So giving someone his lot would be difficult with Harimoto's follower on the prowl.

So I started this series, again, and wondered if there was a Liar Game thread here... not only was there, but I had posted in it! Wow. Anyway, I don't remember any of it. I caught up and was disappointed to see it's in hiatus, again? Shame. Series is great for a reread.

Genius chapter. Nao is such a freakin beast, I swear... by the end she'll surpass the best of them and have the intelligence AND the heart. blazing sun of gloryful hope. Nao is turning into Obama.

Oh sorry, i'll post the link now... eh you already did it
good job.
I love just how much she has progressed. She really is throwing off the balance in the games now xD and she's quite independent now.

Hm, weekly chapters are coming out. Awesome. This is too obvious, though; things will turn around in some deep surprise.

That finale was rather disappointing, but still. Old enemy and new game await, eh?
